turris testimonials

So what do people think after they try the turris?

We've been all over the United States doing demos with the turris.    From North to South -- the Bay Area of California... Texas, Ohio, New York, Michigan...   We've even had Canadians try the chair!   We participated in the SVVR Expo & Conference as well as AWE.    We've done a number of demos at OEM's, Gaming Conventions, VR Conferences, and countless Meet-Ups.

That being said, we've done well over 500 demos, and as many revisions!   Here are some recent excerpts as we've become better at writing them down or recording / documenting them.

In general the comments from seasoned VR users:

  • The ability to move forward based on your body instead of face-forward
  • It is super intuitive, figured it out right away!
  • It's super quick/responsive.
  • It really didn't make me ill like most VR experiences!  I didn't feel unstable!
  • As a developer, I like that you've made it easy for me.
  • It looks like it could fit in small places and be adapted to any decor!

More than a few notable people:

We've met quite a few people, each of them interesting and noteworthy.  Here are a few that have gotten photos to us, or with us!  (more to come as we filter through)

Quotes along the way...

We've finally started recording quotes from users recently.   We'll do a better job of that in the future!  Here is a rough compilation of some clips we recorded from the last event.   We've not even had time to rotate them all clip them yet!   All in good time!

I attended GDC and am well familiar with the Oculus. But, I've never used the Oculus with something like that... ...it was a lot smoother than I expected. It was like being in the game. This is the direction we need to take for VR development!

I wasn't sure on it, at first, how well it would control modern Battlefield-type games -- but having sat in it, I really like it! I want one!

It was brilliant! I play a lot of RPG's and I can see that as being absolutely amazing in the environment that is! It takes your mind of moving the mouse and controls of where you are going and it puts you MORE in the game -- in the picture!

It was pretty cool! I liked being able to move around by using my body instead of a game controller! Easy to use!

Pretty cool! A lot different than any other control schemes I have used before. Pretty Intuitive!

It's really what we've been missing. Consumers are going to have a bunch of issues that VR creates, and the turris is the solution!

I loved it! It was a lot of fun. Once I got into it, it was very intuitive! I'm not used to having my head on a different axis than my body -- but it was awesome to finally be able to move like that!

It was really, REALLY good! It was really comfortable, and I could move around effortlessly -- unlike the treadmills. This should really be on the market, I think I would get this!
